Wednesday March 23rd - Checking in at the Philadelphia Airport

Awaiting our departure from Philadelphia

After changing planes in London we arrive in Paris late in the afternoon on Thursday the 24th

Our Hotel is nicely located on the Place d'Italie

Our first evening meal at a Paris restaurant

A few of us are up for a stroll on the Champs Elysee


The next morning, Friday the 24th, (most of) the group does a quick bus tour of Paris -
with some stops along the way

Meanwhile Doc and Rene visit the hospital to have Rene stitched up
after some messing around opened up her forehead

We regroup before lunch at a cafe along the Boulevard St. Germain des Pres

And we head across the street for some lunch at a small restaurant

Then we take the metro to the Latin Quarter

It's Good Friday - a good time to visit the Notre Dame Cathedral that afternoon

We then split up -- with some of the girls going shopping with Miss Sherer

Some of the group decide to go visit the Sorbonne (University of Paris) in the heart of the Latin Quarter

We regroup at the bouquinistes (book sellers) along the Seine River

That evening a group of students dress up and head back to the Latin Quarters - to the Caveau de la Huchette

The next morning (Saturday the 26th) we finally meet up with our tour guide
(Doc and Bob Weaver have been leading thus far).  We head to Montmartre

That evening we head to a restaurant near the Pigalle (at the foot of Montmartre)

The next morning is Easter Sunday (the 27th) - and we return to the Notre Dame Cathedral for Easter services

We head again to the Latin Quarter for lunch

After lunch we take a walk along the Seine River toward the Eiffel Tower

The next and last full day in Paris (Monday) we visit the Louvre Museum

After lunch everyone heads in different directions for last-minute shopping or sight-seeing

The next day (Tuesday) we fly back to Philadelphia - to family waiting there for us
