Looking from our hotel. It's not the Place d'Italie. But a nice quiet part of Paris nonetheless.
We meet with our tour guide,
Alexandra - and the Hispanic-American group from California supposedly
traveling with us.
They're mostly guys, with
a decided interest in our girls - and we decide quickly that we want to
do our own thing.
Alexandra can stick with
them. We'll meet up for suppers. But that's about all.
We head up to Montmartre
An awesome dinner on Montmartre at La Cremaillere
The next day it's Easter Sunday and we head to the Notre Dame Cathedral for Easter service
- noting that Paris slumbers on Sunday mornings (the Metro was empty at 9:00 in the morning)
We regroup after the Easter service across from the Cathedral
We then have our usual lunch in the Latin Quarter
After lunch we gather at the Place St. Michel in front of the fountain
Then head up to the Sorbonne (University of Paris)
Then we continue on up to the Pantheon
- where again the boys play hacky sack
A French guy joins them
and the girls simply crash in the sun
We then head over to the Luxembourg Gardens for more strenuous relaxation
Followed by more relaxation along the Seine
That evening we stroll the Champs Elysees and watch the interesting doings
The next morning we visit the Louvre Museum
In the afternoon the girls headed out for some shopping
While the guys just hung out along the Seine
We regrouped later in the afternoon in a park across from the Eiffel Tower
That evening some of the kids went shopping along the Champs Elysees
The next day we took a train out to Fontainebleau
And that evening ate at another great restaurant in the Latin Quarter
The next day we headed out to Versailles
And the night before our return home - some goofing off took place
