My nephew (Rachel's cousin) Tate Knutstad has come up from Barcelona to join the group

Emmanuelle – who is from Montmartre – orients us to the district

A windmill in the heart of the Montmartre district

Atop Montmartre we break to wander about on our own

Around the central square of Montmartre were located artists and entertainers

The view of Paris from atop Montmartre

At the very top of Montmartre sits the Sacre Coeur Church

For lunch we head again by Metro for the Latin Quarter

 – Where we order up on Greek gyro sandwiches

After lunch some headed over by the Opera where the large department stores
(Galleries Lafayette, Au Printemps) are located – as dark clouds and some rain moved in on us;
other went sightseeing; others returned to the hotel for some rest

That evening we head for our restaurant – via Place Pigale – at the foot of Montmartre

The Blue Note – where we had (a rather smallish) dinner
